Summary: Representatives from the Florida Department of Transportation Central Office will be
present to discuss the Florida High Speed Rail project, including candidate stop
locations in Polk County. Other primary items on the agenda include a public hearing
on Draft amendments to the currently adopted FY 2009/10-2013-14 Transportation
Improvement Plan (TIP) as well as a request for the Board to endorse the Draft FY
2010/11-2011/12 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) Planning Tasks. The Board
will also elect a new Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson.
